Bachelor of Computer Applications

Computer and mobile applications have played an active role in the digital revolution, especially in recent years. All these applications are made possible by coding and programming, which is the language of computers and the digital world. One of the best ways to learn this language is by enrolling yourself in a full time Bachelor in Computer Application course, in which students are taught about the coding language in detail. Students who opt for this course learn skills and information not only about computers and information technology but also in communication, organisation, and management. Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) is a 3-year UG course that imparts knowledge on the basics of computer application and software development. It is customised for students wishing to thrive in the field of computers and information technology. BCA subjects include database management systems, software engineering, operating systems, web technology, and computer languages such as HTML, C, C++, and Java. There is an utmost need for skilled professionals to serve and solve the various problems in the world of technology and IT in India.
Syllabus as per New Education Policy BCA:
Computer Fundamental, Organization and architecture (Major): After the completion of this course, students will be able to understand the basic structure, operations, and characteristics of digital computers. They will have knowledge of arithmetic and logic units, as well as the fundamentals of Digital Electronics.
Computer Fundamental and Digital Lab(Major): After the compilation of this course, students will have familiarity with the parts of the computer and peripheral devices used with the computer. Realisation of the basic logics and universal gates.
Programming Methodology & Data structure I (Major): Student will have knowledge of Programming, the Basics of C++, constructor and deconstructed and Data structure. Implement and know the application of algorithms for searching and sorting.
Programming Methodology & Data structure II (Major): After the completion of this course, students will be able to develop simple algorithms and flow charts to solve a problem with programming. Writing efficient and well structured computer algorithms.
Operating System ( Minor) : After the compilation of this course student will be able to understand basic of operating system, process management, process scheduling, deadlock and deadlock handling approaches , memory management and disk management.
Foundation Course (English& Hindi): Reading, Writing and Interpretation Skills, Comprehension Skill, Basic Language Skills and Basic Grammar.
Foundation Course (Environmental Studies): Student will be able to understand Environment and Natural Resources, Biome, Ecosystem and Biodiversity and Environmental Pollution, Management and Social Issues.
Foundation Course (Yoga and Dhyaan): student will learn practical and theoretical knowledge about Yoga and Yogic Practices, Breathing Practices and Pranayama and Practices leading to Meditation.
