The need for computers in the contemporary world has given rise to many computer-based courses across the globe which in turn has increased the employment opportunities. Bachelors of Commerce in Computer applications is a three-year full-time undergraduate Course, curriculum that combines computer science with commerce to study diverse areas of both. It's a blend of commerce and computer applications for business disciplines that necessitate computer competence. The course is designed in a manner to equip students with the knowledge in commerce as well as in the field of computer programming and computer systems. A student who has completed a B.Com Computer Applications has career opportunities in both the Public and Private sectors where they can work as Business Consultants, Auditors, Business Analysts, App Developers, and Computer Programmers.
Syllabus as per New Education Policy B.Com (CA):
Financial Accounting (Major): Student will be able to Acquire Conceptual knowledge of accounting, identify events that need to be recorded, Depreciation Account, Royalty Accounts, Departmental Accounts, Partnership Accounts & Computerized Accounts.
Business Regulatory Framework (Major): The outcome of this course is to provide the students with the practical legal knowledge of general business law issues. To understand essential of valid contract, Consumer protection Act, sale of goods and Performance, Indian Contract Act 1872, Negotiable instrument Act 1881, Indian Partnership Act 1932 and Limited Liability Partnership Act 2008.
Business Organisation and Communication(Minor): After completion of this course student shall be understand basic of business and will be able to imbibe how any business can be organized successfully. Under communication study student learn importance of communication in modern business.
Computer Fundamentals (Elective): Student will have Knowledge about basic of Computer, Computer software & its types, Operating System, MS Word, Introduction to Internet and Useful Google tools such as drive, sheet, doc, meet, etc. Firewall, Computer Virus and Anti Virus Software, Internet Security & Privacy Basics of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Electronic Payment System (EPS), Types of Payment System: Digital Cash, E- Cheque, Smart Card, Introduction to Digital Signature and Digital Certificates.
Foundation Course (English& Hindi): Reading, Writing and Interpretation Skills, Comprehension Skill, Basic Language Skills and Basic Grammar.
Foundation Course (Environmental Studies): Student will be able to understand Environment and Natural Resources, Biome, Ecosystem and Biodiversity and Environmental Pollution, Management and Social Issues.
Foundation Course (Yoga and Dhyaan): student will learn practical and theoretical knowledge about Yoga and Yogic Practices, Breathing Practices and Pranayama and Practices leading to Meditation.
